This is my absolute favourite sauce to make whenever I have boiled dumplings. It’s savoury, spicy, tangy and super fragrant. Drizzle this all over your dumplings and slurp away!
ingredients:
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- coriander, chopped
- green onions, chopped
- chilli, chopped
- 2 tbsp water (or water from boiling the dumplings)
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Chinese black vinegar
- 1 tbsp chilli oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
steps:
- Combine garlic, coriander, green onions, chilli and sesame seeds in a heatproof bowl. Carefully pour hot oil into the ingredients to release the aroma.
- Add light soy sauce, Chinese black vinegar, chilli oil and sugar. Mix well and use it as a dipping sauce or drizzle all over the dumplings. Enjoy!
