I normally don’t make sweet drinks at home, and honestly, I rarely even drink them. But I do love a good matcha latte, and I already know I’m a fan of coconut milk and coconut water… so when I kept seeing this Coconut Matcha Cloud trend all over my feed, I got super curious. Would it actually taste as good as it looks? I had to find out.
what is coconut matcha cloud?
Coconut Matcha Cloud is a creamy, dairy-free drink that’s gone viral lately— I keep seeing it all over my socials and couldn’t resist trying it myself.
It blends earthy matcha with a fluffy whipped coconut milk layer, beautifully layered on top of refreshing coconut water. Best served with ice!
ingredients
- 100ml coconut milk (full fat for creaminess)
- 4g ceremonial grade matcha
- 200ml coconut water (or enough to fill about ⅔ of your glass)
- ice (enough to fill half your glass)
how to make coconut matcha cloud
- Sift in the matcha powder to the coconut milk. Use an electric milk frother to whisk until the matcha is fully combined and the mixture becomes fluffy and thick — this is your coconut matcha cloud.
- Fill a glass halfway with ice, then pour in coconut water until it reaches about ⅔ of the glass. Gently pour the matcha coconut cloud on top to create a layered effect.
- Finish with a light dusting of matcha powder.
- Stir well before drinking and enjoy immediately!
