Ingredients

  • 100g glutinous rice flour

  • 40g tapioca flour

  • 25g sugar

  • 60g unsalted butter

  • 100ml milk (or plant-based milk)

  • 1 egg

  • 20g cheese powder

  • 40g shredded cheese

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Combine glutinous rice flour, tapioca flour, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat up milk and butter in a pot and bring it to a boil. Then immediately pour to the flour mixture and mix well.
  • Add the egg and continue mixing.
  • Add the cheese powder and shredded cheese and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into a piping bag or ziplock bag (cut the corner of the bag to create a hole), and squeeze the mixture into balls (like a golf ball size).
  • Bake for a total of 12 minutes. After 6 minutes, turn the tray around to bake both sides of the tray evenly, continue for another 6 minutes. Enjoy while it’s hot!
